WHAT THE SCIENCE SAYS ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC

"

“The benefits of chiropractic for acute low back pain have been pretty widely accepted for years now within the medical community”

- Dr. Ronald Glick, assistant professor of psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

"

Chiropractors tend to have very high patient satisfaction rates, and from a public health perspective, we’d see a lot fewer unnecessary tests and hospitalizations and opioid prescriptions if people visited chiropractors for their back and neck pain.

- Michael Schneider, associate professor of health sciences at the University of Pittsburgh

OUR TECHNIQUES

Applied Kinesiology

A revolutionary diagnostic methodology which provides practitioners a unique understanding of the structural, chemical and mental stresses — as well as their interactions — experienced by the body. This type of analysis is better suited to finding the underlying problem, so that time is not wasted on merely treating symptoms.

Activator Methods

A unique method of spinal analysis and adjustment, developed specifically for chiropractors. The ‘Activator,’ is a spring-loaded adjustment instrument, designed to optimise delivery of the spinal adjustment with minimal discomfort. Hence, it is widely touted as one of the most gentle of chiropractic adjustment techniques.

Advanced Biostructural Correction

Postural assessment and analysis are used to determine compensation patterns in the spine — that the body cannot self-correct. Adjustments are then administered to get rid of the mechanical stress that accrues when your body compensates for injury, allowing the body to return to its natural alignment.

Diversified Technique

The most widely used chiropractic adjusting technique for the restoration of spine alignment, repair of joint dysfunction and restoration of proper body movement. Adjustments are applied by hand, and involves the application of a high velocity, low amplitude thrust over restricted joints in the spine and/or pelvis.

Drop Table Technique

A specialist chiropractic table, with multiple drop points, allows gravity to assist and work in combination with the manual adjustment. Drop table adjustments are applied, almost exclusively, in the prone position and require no special positioning of the body. Hence, comfortable spinal adjustments are possible for those experiencing significant pain and limited mobility.

Budo Seitai

Seitai is a Japanese term, which means “to bring the body into order.” Budo refers to adopting the wisdom of the ancient martial arts as a Way, or life path. The focus of Budo Seitai is to embrace natural living and to improve health, on all levels (physical, mental and spiritual), utilising concepts adopted from the classical martial arts of Japan.
